MAJOR PRICE REDUCTION AS SELLER SAYS HE’S VERY MOTIVATED AND READY TO MAKE A DEAL!!! CALL NOW FOR MORE INFO AND PRIVATE SHOWING!!!
Seller says millions of dollars have been invested in this catamaran over the years. The vessel was custom designed and built for long range traveling and she’s ready to travel the world if the buyer so desires. She could be a great opportunity for someone that wants to take her out and explore today, or could also be a great opportunity for someone that wants to remodel and use as more of a luxury yacht with the ability go where your heart desires!
I recently met with the seller… he said he had the vessel custom built and has done ground breaking ocean research for the past 20 years with her. He’s now ready to move on to the next chapter of his life and he’s realistic in considering all reasonable offers. He would like to see the vessel go to someone that will truly enjoy her and use her to her full potential.
The Vessel that Made History in the North Pacific Subtropical Gyre
Serving as a platform for underfunded scientists and graduate students, the Alguita enables them to access areas of the ocean that are prohibitively expensive to study on other vessels.
Alguita’s 25-foot beam gives her the work area and stability of a much longer mono-hull. Her A-Frame gantry, coupled with 600 meters of 8mm steel cable, can accommodate surface, mid water and bottom trawls, as well as benthic grabs and CTD rosettes. She is capable of deploying a wide array of marine-oriented scientific instruments. There is ample storage space for specialized research equipment, a small wet lab and a secure area for dive gear and tanks that can be filled on board. Each hull has reverse transom with steps for ease of access to the water or to inflatables. The interior is thermostatically heated and air conditioned. She can comfortably accommodate up to five researchers, together with Alguita?s two experienced crew, in individual bunks for long voyages. She has bunk spaces for 4 charter researchers whom can join for overnight or day cruises. A 500-gallon per day desalination unit supplies high-quality hot and cold water to the fully equipped galley, as well to the sinks and large shower.
SLIP AVAILABLE TO APPROVED BUYER. The seller owns the slip and is willing to rent the slip to an approved buyer.
