Jeremy starts in the morning, meeting the captain, the buyer, and the seller at the Hunter sailboat. Once everybody has arrived, the sailboat is taken out for sea trial. After the sea trial, the sailboat is then taken to the boat yard for what is called a ‘Haul & Hold’. Haul & Hold simply means the sailboat will be hauled out and held for the marine surveyor to check the hull, shafts, props, and anything else he wants to see that is normally below the water line. After the haul and hold, the sailboat will go back to the slip for the surveyor to finish his survey in the slip. The boat also had oil samples taken, which came back green and clean. And finally, there was a rigging surveyor that came by and did a quick inspection.
