Wayne’s life and career has been on the open ocean. He grew up sailing and fishing, and transformed his love of being on the water into a career as a marine scientist. Wayne has over 30 years of experience working on the waters of Alaska, Hawaii, and the South Pacific. His experience boasts vessels ranging in size from small skiffs to large commercial ships.

As an experienced bluewater sailor, Wayne has accumulated over 30,000 miles of open ocean sailing, and has sailed across the Pacific Ocean from California to Hawaii, Tonga, and New Zealand.

Wayne has lived and sailed in Hawaii since 1985! He has in-depth knowledgeable of the challenges of boating in Hawaii, and the tropical Pacific. Wayne currently enjoys the liveaboard lifestyle on his sailboat, spending most of his time in Honolulu, Hawaii. He has knowledgable of all boat systems from rigging to hull, and can provide you with a realistic assessment of the boat you are interested in purchasing.
